Advertising & Cookies

Advertising on YunoDB

YunoDB may display ads served by Google AdSense. Ads help pay for hosting, data collection, and the time spent writing editorial pages, and they let us keep the directory free to use and free to be listed in.

How advertising cookies work

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Other third-party vendors and ad networks that work with Google may also use cookies to serve ads on this site. Google lists its certified ad technology providers at https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/9012903.

How to opt out of personalized ads

• You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at https://adssettings.google.com (Google Ads Settings).
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at https://www.aboutads.info (in the EU, also https://www.youronlinechoices.eu).
• You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device, and browser. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Other cookies we set

• A language preference cookie remembers whether you chose English or Traditional Chinese.
• Security and session cookies may be set by our hosting infrastructure.
• The "Featured on YunoDB" badge image sets no cookies.

Ads are separate from the directory

No ad is a paid placement in the directory. Advertisers cannot buy a listing, a higher score, or a better position in search results, topic pages, or compare tables. Ads appear in clearly separated ad units.

Affiliate links

YunoDB does not currently use affiliate links. If we add any, they will be labeled near the link, and they will not change a tool's score or ranking.

Consent for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

Visitors from these regions are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link in the footer.
