What is open-dronelog?

Drone Log analyzer: A high-performance universal dashboard application for organizing and analyzing DJI/Litchi flight logs privately in one place. Supports plugin for custom flight log formats. Built with Tauri v2, DuckDB, and React.

Overview of open-dronelog

What it is

Open DroneLog is a high-performance universal dashboard application for organizing and analyzing DJI and Litchi flight logs privately in one place. It is available as a Tauri v2 desktop app or a Docker-deployable web app, built with DuckDB and React. The project is independent and not affiliated with DJI, DroneAnalytics, VC Technology, or Airdata.

Key features

  • High-performance analytics powered by DuckDB with automatic downsampling for large datasets.
  • Multi-format support: imports DJI logs (.txt), Litchi CSV, and Airdata CSV exports; supports external parser plugins.
  • Smart deduplication based on drone serial, battery serial, and start time.
  • Interactive flight maps with 3D terrain, map-type selection, flight replay, and live telemetry overlay.
  • Telemetry charts for height, speed, battery, cell voltages, attitude, RC signal, GPS, distance-to-home, and more with synchronized drag-to-zoom.
  • Local-first storage: all data in a local DuckDB database; no cloud upload required except for DJI key fetch on first import.
  • Smart tags (auto-tagging and offline reverse geocoding), filters and search, overview dashboard, battery health tracking, maintenance tracking, exports (CSV, JSON, GPX, KML, Summary CSV, FlyCard), HTML report, manual flight entry, multi-language support (11 locales), PWA, backup & restore, and profile system with optional password protection.

Use cases

Individual drone pilots can analyze their own flight logs privately. Fleet managers can separate data by pilot, drone fleet, or purpose using the profile system. Teams can self-host the web app via Docker for shared access. The application is suitable for anyone who wants to organize and analyze DJI or Litchi flight logs without a subscription.

Getting started

Download the appropriate binary for Windows or macOS from the latest release page and run it. For Docker deployment, see the repository README for detailed instructions. To try the web app first, visit the project homepage.
