What is skills?

Agent Skills for NVIDIA products — install into Claude Code, Codex, and other coding agents to run Physical AI, robotics, simulation, CUDA, and RAG workflows end to end.

Overview of skills

What it is

NVIDIA Agent Skills are portable instruction sets that teach AI agents how to use NVIDIA software optimally. They cover Physical AI and robotics workflows, simulation, CUDA-X libraries, RAG and AI Blueprints, and platform tools. This repository is a catalog where skills are maintained in their respective product repos and mirrored daily via an automated sync pipeline. Skills are being added continuously.

Key features

  • Portable instruction sets for AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, and others)
  • Covers NVIDIA products: Physical AI, robotics, simulation, CUDA-X, RAG, AI Blueprints - Skills are maintained in product repos and mirrored daily - Install via npx skills add nvidia/skills (requires CLI v1.5.16+)
  • Supports installing specific skills without prompts and targeting specific agents - Skills can be updated with npx skills update

Use cases

  • Teach coding agents to run Physical AI and robotics workflows - Guide agents through CUDA-X library usage (e.g., cuOpt, cuDF, DALI)
  • Enable agents to work with RAG and AI Blueprints - Assist with NVIDIA platform tools (e.g., DOCA, DeepStream, BioNeMo)

Getting started

Install NVIDIA skills with the default CLI flow: bash npx skills add nvidia/skills The CLI prompts you to choose a skill and install destination. Requires skills CLI v1.5.16 or newer. For one skill without prompts: bash npx skills add nvidia/skills --skill cuopt-numerical-optimization-api --yes For specific agents, use --agent flag (e.g., --agent claude-code). See the repository README for more details.
