What is Pulse?

Know how much Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot and 70+ other AI coding tools you have left — a free, open-source macOS monitor on the edge of your screen.

Overview of Pulse

What it is

Pulse is a free, open-source macOS monitor that shows how much usage you have left across Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and 70+ other AI coding tools. It sits on the edge of your screen and displays every AI coding limit at a glance, without requiring you to open any usage pages.

Key features

  • Monitors 76+ AI coding services (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) with color-coded rings that show usage percentages.
  • No Pulse account or server required; it uses your existing logins and credentials, and nothing is sent back.
  • Real usage percentages from the services themselves; estimates are marked, and if a service reports nothing, Pulse says so instead of guessing.
  • Native macOS app built with Swift and SwiftUI, with Liquid Glass on macOS 26. It can be docked on any edge (left, right, top, bottom) and folds to a sliver when idle.
  • Menu bar display with a dashboard for each account, burn-rate forecast, and optional animated bots.
  • Notifications for limit crossings, resets, failing checks, low balance, and provider outages.
  • Token spend tracking for 54 local clients, priced at public API rates, with usage recaps and service status for 44 providers.

Use cases

  • Quickly check remaining usage of multiple AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) without opening separate pages.
  • Avoid surprise rate limits by monitoring usage in real time.
  • Track token spend and costs across different AI coding tools.
  • Monitor service status and get notified of outages.
