Overview of trypost
What it is
TryPost is an open-source social media scheduler designed for AI agents and teams. It allows creating, scheduling, and publishing posts to multiple networks via MCP (Model Context Protocol) or REST API, or through a web composer. It is built to serve both automated posting from AI agents and manual posting with team collaboration features.
Key features
- MCP server with over 80 tools for posts, media, queues, ideas, labels, signatures, analytics, and more.
- REST API for custom scripts and automations, including batch post creation, media upload, metrics reading, and webhooks.
- Web composer that writes once and adapts per network, with live preview and AI assistant for rephrasing.
- Calendar and queues for scheduling posts on each channel's posting times, with drag-to-reschedule.
- Approval workflow: members send posts for review, admins approve or reject in one click.
- Workspaces to separate clients or brands with their own channels, members, and settings.
- Supports 13 networks natively: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Mastodon, Google Business, Telegram, Discord.
Use cases
- AI agents (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) can autonomously create and schedule social media content using natural language commands via MCP.
- Development teams can automate posting workflows using the REST API, integrating with existing scripts and tools.
- Marketing teams and agencies can use the web app for collaborative content creation, scheduling, approval, and analytics across multiple brands.
